Little Ruby Fig

Ficus carica 'Little Ruby' Little Ruby is tiny but mighty! So small it's grown by some as a bonsai specimen, it both ripens a fall crop regularly in Western Washington and other cool summer areas and also sets an overwintering "breba" summer crop. Little Ruby comes from near Olympia WA and was brought to us by Denny McGaughy, who also introduced the Olympian fig into commercial cultivation. Don't miss these adorable little bite-sized fruits! This amber/mauve, sweet-flavored fruit has a strawberry pink center. Has a compact growth habit, making it ideal to grow in a pot. Surprisingly cold tolerant as well.
